In the ESL One Birmingham 2024 match, an incredible bug occurred, sparking a wave of criticism towards Valve

There was a weird bug in the Team Liquid vs Heroic game where one person cancelled the Amplify Damage Rune, but another still picked it up. Fans of Dota 2 then began attacking Valve corporation.

In the clip you can see that Mateus ‘KJ’ Diniz was rushing to pick up a Damage Amp Rune and Michal ‘Nisha’ Jankowski wanted to stop him, so the Team Liquid player canceled it. But KJ still somehow managed to pick it up which left both players astonished.

Immediately people started joking in the comment section about how Dota 2 is still in beta testing. Another sarcastically said you cant get mad at such a small company. However, someone else brought up that this issue is called the Perfect Frame and its really hard to fix when programming.

Eventually Team Liquid won 2-1 over Heroic eliminating them from ESL One Birmingham 2024 tournament.
