Tournament organizer Epic Esports Events on its Twitter and Vkontakte announced the online tournament EPIC League Season 3, which will be held on March 2-21.
Mark Averbukh, product director of Epic Esports Events, commented:
We are pleased to present to the audience the third season of the EPIC League, which will be held on March 2-21 and will bring together 16 teams from the CIS and Europe. At the moment we are at the final stage of negotiations with the participants and will gradually announce them on our sites. I am sure that the upcoming tournament will be a great show for all Dota 2 fans.
16 teams from Europe and the CIS will participate in the 3rd season of the EPIC League. The group stage will be held on March 2-13 in the Swiss-system format. After that teams will be determined to participate in Division 1 and Division 2. The top 8 teams from the group stage will play in the first division, the rest in the second. The playoff stage will be played from March 14 to 21.
The total prize pool of the tournament is $100,000. Participants of the Division 1 will compete for $85,000, and the teams of the Division 2 will compete for $15,000. The list of participants is still unknown and will be announced later.
