Dyrachyo Spoke Out About the Problems Facing the Dota 2 Pro Scene

Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov believes that Dota 2 isn’t attracting young players due to the high barrier to entry into the esports discipline.

The player’s statement was made in an interview with Cybersport.

“New talent just isn’t coming through, probably because the game is complex and takes up too much time. And why would you play Dota 2 when you have Counter-Strike 2, which is more dynamic, more active, and has a more developed ecosystem? There are even academies there that feed players into the main roster. So in that regard, everything is cooler and more interesting over there. Although, I think 322 is enough there, too. And overall, I’m sure it has its own problems too, but you’d have to talk to the guys from CS and ask them.”

According to Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov, there are other esports disciplines, such as Counter-Strike 2, that are more dynamic and have a more developed esports ecosystem. Although the esports player doesn’t rule out the existence of problems similar to those in Dota 2 in other disciplines, he believes there are still more opportunities for young players there.

As a reminder, Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov previously named the best carries in professional Dota 2.
