Dyrachyo explained where League of Legends surpassed Dota 2

Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov stated that he does not agree with the opinion that League of Legends is better then Dota 2, but in terms of marketing and development resources it is definitely ahead.

The esports player talked about this during a Twitch stream.

“Is LoL better then Dota? Not really. Although... depends from what perspective you look at it. In terms of marketing and all that stuff, League of Legends is better than Dota right now. Because there the developers actually give a damn. And when the developers give a damn, then everything is clear”

Dyrachyo noted that LoL is ahead of Dota 2 in terms of marketing and the amount of resources the developers invest into the game, which is very different from the situation with Valve. In his opinion, Riot Games actively supports their game, while in Dota 2 the situation is the opposite.

It is worth noting that many esports players share a similar opinion, pointing at the much bigger resources received by Dota 2’s main competitor.
