Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, the carry for
Gaimin Gladiators spoke to his fans and said that Riyadh Masters last year was not won by his team because of visa issues in The International and a busy season. However, this year he hopes to seize it.
This statement was made in a new video published on the club's Telegram channel.
“Last year at Riyadh Masters, it was definitely tough for us because I needed a visa for TI and the team couldn't practice. Additionally, we won five tournaments in a row back then, and we barely had time to relax. We weren't prepared for the tournament, and the team immediately faced problems — we barely made it to the top 4. It wasn't the result we were aiming for. It turns out that at that tournament, we suffered our first defeat after a series of wins”
According to him, the team was under constant pressure cause they have won 5 tournaments in a row in the previous season. Additionally, their roster could not properly prepare due to visas for The International 2023 which hindered performance of players during championship. Nevertheless, Dyrachyo want win this year and appreciated support from his fans.
“I hope this year we will show the best result. The team will be more focused and able to pay more attention to preparing for this tournament. We will try to win. I would like this championship to be at least as good as last year's. I am looking forward to the start of the tournament in Saudi Arabia. I hope we win, and thank you in advance to those who come to support us”
The esports player is hopeful that if his team can’t win this years’ Riyadh Masters 2024 they would still show a decent result no worse than last years’.
