On the night of August 18, Valve developers released an update for Dota 2.
The client update affected the polygon count changes for hero models, added the -prewarm option as the default, and fixed minor bugs.
List of changes:
Dashboard
- Removed the front-page banner for Immortal Treasure II.
- Added a banner for Aghanim's Labyrinth to the front page.
Economy
- Edited Particles for Timbersaw's Clearcut Cavalier.
Strings
- Fixed a typo error for Axe's Culling blade in Ability Draft.
Models
- Increased polygons for a variety of heroes.
Other
- "-prewarn" Launch option is now set on by default.
- "-noprewarm" Launch option disables this.
Issues
- The new update is causing crashing on some machines. Apparently disabling custom terrains alleviates this issue.
