Dota 2 roster shuffle: how team rosters change in the new season

Post The International 2023, reshuffling and mass disbandments have started among Dota 2 teams. Whereas some underwent minor reshuffles other teams experienced either a disbandment or collapsed completely after being eliminated from TI12.

Beastcoast

Beastcoast lost all of their players: Parker, DarkMago, Sacred, Scofield, StingeR. This happened immediately after TI12 and the players left to become free agents. Team Liquid claims they will make no changes apart from excluding Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg, who stated he would take a vacation after The International 2023 takes place.

OG

Peter "ppd" Dager announced his return to the professional Dota 2 scene. He posted a statement announcing that he is looking for a team from NA, where he will play as a captain or drafter.

Nouns

Nouns immediately responded to the announcement of their creator and invited the two-time Dota 2 champion to join their roster. Therefore, one might speculate if they are prepared to replace YamSun because currently playing Luke “YamSun” Von on fifth position.

TSM

TSM after elimination from The International broke up with Ekki , their assistant coach’s contract ended after TI23 and it won’t be renewed any longer.

Talon Esports

Mikoto stated that he may leave Talon Esports, taking a break for one of the Dota 2 tournaments, as he has received offers from two teams from the NA and SEA regions.

Team Secret

Team Secret did not try to prolong the agreement with Fbz, who played alongside Puppey for three months. It might be indicative of a great future season by the legendary Dota 2 squad.

Shopify Rebellion

Shopify Rebellion seems to be looking at disbandment following their poor performance in the previous season. That rumour has been circulating for a while now. There is also a suggestion from streamers that Arteezy has already found a new team.

9Pandas

According to hints from Maelstorm, the 9 Pandas team disbanded after being eliminated from The International 2023, where teamwork among the esports players was entirely absent.

Gaimin Gladiators

Information has begun to surface that Quinn "Quinn" Callahan may leave the Gaimin Gladiators lineup, although there have been no official comments on this matter from Quinn or the club.

Tundra Esports

Maelstorm hinted that one to three players from Gaimin Gladiators may join Tundra Esports. It is quite possible that this refers to Quinn "Quinn" Callahan and Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, who could strengthen Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen's team.
