Dota 2 Patch 7.37c

Valve has finally released the major 7.37c patch for Dota 2, which has radically transformed the game. The developers have significantly altered the current meta, adjusted hero balances, and introduced numerous new items. It is highly likely that esports players will be using this patch at The International 2024.

These changes were published on the official Dota 2 website.

The gameplay has undergone substantial changes following this major update, addressing many issues reported by users and offering new and exciting opportunities for build crafting.

Full list of changes in patch 7.37c:

 Harpy Stormcrafter

  • Chain Lightning: Mana cost increased from 50 to 60

Item Updates

Gleipnir

  • Health: Bonus health reduced from 350 to 300

  • Eternal Chains: Damage reduced from 180 to 165

Guardian Greaves

  • Mend: Health restoration reduced from 350 to 325

Holy Locket

  • Holy Blessing: Healing amplification reduced from 30% to 25%

Mekansm

  • Restore: Health restoration reduced from 275 to 250

Pipe of Insight

  • Barrier: Damage absorbed reduced from 450 to 425

Rod of Atos

  • Health: Bonus health reduced from 300 to 275

Solar Crest

  • Shine: Armor bonus reduced from 7 to 5

Hero Updates

Ancient Apparition

  • Ice Blast: Frostbitten duration increased from 10 to 10/11/12 seconds

Anti-Mage

  • Magebane's Mirror

    • Counterspell: Reflected spell amplification increased from 20% to 30%

    • Counterspell Ally: Reflected spell amplification increased from 20% to 30%

  • Blink: Cooldown reduced from 13.5/11/8.5/6 to 12/10/8/6 seconds

Arc Warden

  • Base damage increased by 2

Bane

  • Nightmare: Cast range increased from 500/550/600/650 to 550/600/650/700

Dawnbreaker

  • Base health regeneration increased from 0.25 to 0.5

Death Prophet

  • Mourning Ritual: Damage delay reduced from 20/30/40/50% to 15/25/35/45%

Doom

  • Devil's Bargain: Buyback cost penalty increased from 15% to 20%

Drow Ranger

  • Marksmanship: Bonus hit damage increased from 40/60/80 to 50/70/90

Earthshaker

  • Slugger: No longer requires upgrading Enchant Totem to activate

    • Now scales with Echo Slam instead of Enchant Totem (values unchanged)

Ember Spirit

  • Sleight of Fist: Mana cost reworked from 65 to 60/65/70/75

  • Flame Guard: Damage per second reduced from 20/30/40/50 to 15/25/35/45

Enchantress

  • Enchant: Experience gained on use reduced from 50% to 35%

Hoodwink

  • Acorn Shot: Slow duration reduced from 0.35 to 0.3 seconds

Lich

  • Death Charge: Mana restore range increased from 1200 to 1500

  • Talents:

    • Level 15 Talent: "Sinister Gaze duration" reduced from +0.4 to +0.3 seconds

Lina

  • Combustion: Damage threshold increased from 150 to 175

  • Light Strike Array: Stun duration reduced from 1.3/1.6/1.9/2.2 to 1/1.4/1.8/2.2 seconds

Lion

  • Hex: Cast range increased from 550/575/600/625 to 575/600/625/650

  • Talents:

    • Level 15 Talent: "Hex cooldown reduction" increased from 2 to 2.5 seconds

Magnus

  • Skewer: Damage increased from 75/150/225/300 to 80/160/240/320

  • Talents:

    • Level 10 Talent: "Shockwave slow duration" increased from +0.5 to +0.75 seconds

Marci

  • Rebound: Ally movement speed bonus duration reduced from 5 to 4 seconds

  • Talents:

    • Level 20 Talent: "Unleash movement speed" reduced from +12% to +10%

Naga Siren

  • Deluge

    • Deluge: Maximum movement speed increased from 225 to 240

Nature's Prophet

  • Ironwood Treant

    • Nature's Call: Treant base attack time increased from 1.4 to 1.6 seconds

  • Wrath of Nature: Base damage reduced from 120/155/190 to 100/140/180

Necrophos

  • Base intelligence increased from 22 to 23

  • Ghost Shroud: Magic damage amplification reduced from 25% to 20%

Ogre Magi

  • Bloodlust: Attack speed bonus increased from 30/45/60/75 to 35/50/65/80

  • Fire Shield: Multicasts now prioritize Ogre Magi, then heroes, then buildings, and finally creeps, skipping units already buffed

Omniknight

  • Purification: Additional Purification effectiveness from Aghanim's Shard reduced from 75% to 65%

  • Repel: Duration reduced from 6 to 5 seconds

  • Hammer of Purity: Damage reduced from 55/70/85/100 to 40/60/80/100

  • Talents:

    • Level 10 Talent: "+1 sec Guardian Angel duration" replaced with "+1 sec Repel duration"

    • Level 20 Talent: "+2 sec Repel duration" replaced with "+2 sec Guardian Angel duration"

Pangolier

  • Double Jump

    • Shield Crash: Max damage increase reduced from 50% to 40%

    • Max Barrier: Max absorbed damage increase reduced from 50% to 40%

Phantom Lancer

  • Convergence

    • Juxtapose: Illusion damage increased from 13/15/17% to 15/17/19%

  • Divergence

    • Juxtapose: Illusion damage increased from 15/17/19% to 17/19/21%

  • Spirit Lance: Illusion duration increased from 2/4/6/8 to 3.5/5/6.5/8 seconds

  • Phantom Rush: Agility bonus now applies during the dash and for 1.5 seconds after it ends

Primal Beast

  • Base movement speed reduced from 310 to 305

Pugna

  • Life Drain: Health restoration per second on enemies reworked from 160/240/320 to 150/250/350

Riki

  • Backstab: Agility damage multiplier increased from 0.4/0.8/1.2/1.6 to 0.55/0.9/1.25/1.6

Ringmaster

  • Base movement speed reduced from 315 to 310

  • Strongman Tonic: Strength bonus per Ringmaster level reduced from 1.5 to 1

  • Wheel of Wonder: Timer duration reduced from 2.75/3.0/3.25 to 2.5/2.75/3 seconds

    • Auto-explosion time reduced from 8 to 6 seconds

  • Spotlight: Effect duration increased from 0.1 to 0.3 seconds

Rubick

  • Base damage reduced by 2

Sand King

  • Base strength reduced from 22 to 21

  • Caustic Finale: Base damage reduced from 20/40/60/80 to 15/35/55/75

Shadow Demon

  • Promulgate

    • Disseminate: Current health loss percentage reduced from 20% to 14/16/18/20%

Shadow Shaman

  • Shackles: Cooldown reduced from 20 to 20/19/18/17 seconds

Snapfire

  • Lil' Shredder: Slow duration reduced from 3 to 2.5 seconds

Spirit Breaker

  • Base strength reduced from 29 to 28

Templar Assassin

  • Psionic Traps: Damage reduced from 150/250/350 to 125/225/325

Terrorblade

  • Base damage reduced by 2

Tinker

  • Heat-Seeking Missile: Damage reduced from 125/225/325/425 to 100/200/300/400

Treant Protector

  • Eyes in the Forest: Cooldown increased from 20 to 20/19/18/17 seconds

Underlord

  • Firestorm: Damage reduced from 30/50/70/90 to 25/45/65/85

Visage

  • Grave Chill: Attack speed bonus reduced from 45/70/95/120 to 40/65/90/115

Witch Doctor

  • Hex of Mending: Healing radius reduced from 750 to 675

  • Tether: Radius reduced from 750 to 675

  • Talents:

    • Level 10 Talent: "+8 movement speed" replaced with "+0.1 sec Paralyzing Cask duration"

Zeus

  • Heavenly Jump: Movement speed bonus reduced from 80% to 75%

  • Nimbus: Attack radius now matches Heavenly Jump radius

It’s worth noting that Valve previously overhauled the Dota Plus system in response to widespread player complaints.
