Since the release of patch 7.37b, the new Dota 2 meta has finally stabilized, with clear performance favorites emerging in matchmaking. While
Axe has managed to retain its position as one of the most effective heroes, the leaders in the other four positions have changed.
Data from the Dota2ProTracker portal indicates the following:
The most effective carry hero is undeniably
Lina. With a win rate of 56% in the carry position, she has become a top choice for renowned players like Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk and Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov, who have been actively playing her.
The best mid hero now is Nature Prophet. Thanks to a buff in patch 7.37b, the hero shows incredible strength on the lane. Moreover, with the right build, he can nearly single-handedly assault enemy bases due to his powerful summons.
Axe has managed to retain its position as the best offlaner, continuing to show excellent performance in matchmaking despite several patches. With a win rate of 53.40%, his aspect allows him to perform well in teamfights and provides good survivability.
For the four position,
Shadow Demon has become a more popular choice, taking leadership from
Tinker. Although
Tinker remains a strong hero, his win rate has significantly declined following the new gameplay update in Dota 2.
The most effective support hero is now
Omniknight, who shows an impressive win rate of 58.50% in his position. He has confidently surpassed his closest competitor,
Treant Protector, and is currently being actively tested by pro players in the fifth position.
Best heroes of patch 7.37b:
Lina
Nature's Prophet
Axe
Shadow Demon
Omniknight
It is also worth noting that Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen is preparing a new build for the most challenging hero in Dota 2 following the release of patch 7.37b.
