Dota 2 matchmaking broken: global bug

Players on Reddit are complaining about a new issue when trying to enter the game. The problem is that when they start searching for a match, the server stops responding. The process gets stuck at confirming the match, and restarting the game does not solve the issue.

This problem is especially relevant for residents of South and North America, where the highest number of complaints is coming from. What's even more frustrating is that if a player exits the game and tries to log in again, they receive a temporary penalty for queuing for a match.

On forums, the focus is on the fact that players are unlikely to be able to influence the server's performance. It is quite possible that the servers are overloaded or there are group tournaments from two cups. Some suggest waiting in the matchmaking queue for at least 5-6 minutes, and then the system will correctly find a match. However, there are cases where even after an hour of waiting, the server does not respond.
