Dota 2 Leaderboard: Team Spirit has become the best team in the world in Dota 2

Tournament organizer ESL has introduced a new ranking system for Dota 2 Pro Tour, connected to the competitive system. Leading this ranking is Team Spirit, the victors of the recent championship, earning them the deserved title of the best Dota 2 team in the world.

The corresponding table was published on the official ESL website.

ESL has implemented an overall team ranking similar to the Dota Pro Circuit. Points will be distributed at each EPT tournament, determining invitations for teams to future events.

• Team Liquid

According to ESL rules, points are awarded to the team as a whole, not to individual players or the club. If two members of the roster are replaced, the team incurs a 30% penalty, and if three or more esports athletes leave the team, they lose all accumulated points. Penalties for a single substitution are waived if the tournament organizer is notified of the changes in advance.

Formally, the second season of EPT began with DreamLeague Season 21, and participants in this tournament have already earned points based on their performance. For instance, Shopify Rebellion lost all their points as three members of their previous roster left the team, despite reaching the finals of the competition.
