A Dota 2 hero is broken: a new bug in matchmaking

A show-stopping glitch that affects Dota 2's Ogre Magi Multicast ability has been found – and it has to do with Hand Of Midas.

This particular case has been in the news owing to the players’ perspective shared on Reddit.

If Ogre Magi gets Hand Of Midas, the hero will fundamentally be broken. Otherwise, if the item has under one charge, the will disfunction, rendering the hero quite compromised in the Dota 2 matchmaking context.

Valve probably already knows about this issue and is currently seeing how to fix it. It ha reasons, however, to suggest that the developers may wish to remove Hand Of Midas from Dota 2, but may have to do so only for a limited period. This has been asked by professional gamers and even fans worldwide as most of them attribute this item as the one that is totally destroying the matchmaking system and hence needs to stay out of the game until it is properly addressed.

Previously, instead of preparing for The International 2024, tier-1 esports players have been playing Deadlock, a situation explained by the presence of critical bugs.
