With the arrival of the new Dota 2 Crownfall event comes the Candy Shop which allows users to purchase exclusive items with candy earned in-game. The shop enables players to buy items such as treasured hero packs, announcer packs and even Arcana. In this piece, we will cover how you can access the Candy Shop, and how you can use candy to get assorted rewards and items.

What Is the Candy Shop in Dota 2?

The Candy Shop, commonly referred to as the Candyworks Caravan, is Under the Crownfall in-game event and functions with its own currency. It allows players to purchase items, hero skins and other cosmetic items allowing you to take your gaming experience to a whole new level. To purchase any items from the shop you need candy, which can be earned by participating in special events.

Key Features of the Candy Shop:

  • Each purchase demands a specific number of candies.

  • Only two items are displayed at once; you can reroll them if you’re not interested in the current selection.

  • You earn progress toward 10 free rerolls per week by winning matches (Unranked, Ranked, and Turbo — though Turbo grants half progress per win).

  • Additional rerolls and candies can be obtained through in-game bundles (Shop Bundle), as well as from consistent event participation over time.

How to Find the Candy Shop in Dota 2 Crownfall

To access Candyworks Caravan (a.k.a. Candy Shop):

  1. Update Dota 2 to the latest version featuring the Crownfall patch.

  2. Open the Crownfall tab in Dota 2’s main menu.

  3. Look for the Candyworks Caravan (Candy Shop) mode or section, which includes the mini-shop and reroll mechanic.

Starting April 18 (the initial release of the event), the Crownfall section is prominently visible under the Play tab or via a dedicated event menu, where you can also check story missions and upcoming Acts.

Where to Get Candy in Crownfall

You’ll need special candies to buy anything in the Candy Shop. There are several ways to earn them:

  1. Opening Candy Bags

    • Candy Bags can be obtained by completing Crownfall in-game tasks, participating in event activities, and leveling up within the event.

    • Each Candy Bag contains a mix of different candy types.

  2. Shop Bundle

    • A special bundle available in the Dota 2 store that includes up to 30 Candy Bags, 10 additional rerolls, and 20 Double Down Tokens (as of the current publication).

  3. Event Quests and Rewards

    • Throughout Crownfall, new quests and challenges are added, providing extra candies as rewards.

Remember that there are a limited number of candy slots per player. If they do fill these, you can trade in your candy for other types, but exchange does usually have a depreciation or neutral rate. Seasoned players suggest to first use a portion of the Candy Bags and only then buy the desired items or convert the candy as some players may have bought the items that have no return value in order not to waste them.

Drop Rates and Reroll Mechanics

One of the unique aspects of Candy Shop is the reroll option. You can substitute one of the two shown items in case you disinterested in both. There, however, are some restrictions:

  • No more than 10 free rerolls a week in total.

  • And Rerolls can be spent on every win, with 0.5 earned from turbo matches towards a reroll.

You can’t blame dataminers – the odds of finding an Arcana during any refresh is also quite low, a mere 0.315%. Statistically, that means one would need approximately 160 rerolls till an Arcana is located in the shop. And now, since a user is limited to 10 a week, is fair to assume that acquiring 160 will take approximately 4 months of regular play. Due to the fact that Crownfall takes multiple months, users who wish to polish their gameplay will have decent odds to snag an Arcana.

Arcanas in the Candy Shop: Are They Obtainable?

Crownfall is equipped with Arcana and for many, it is the center of focus. Sure, the odds are not very favorable for getting one, but:

  • For starters, the Arcana price in the candy shop is: 16 candies.

  • And secondly, one of the requirements to have them is: It takes ~160 rerolls to obtain at least one Arcana.

  • Possibility of Selecting More Than One Arcana: For this case, considering a certain amount of strokes of luck as well as sufficient additions to the candies pile, there is a chance of obtaining a second or even a third arcana during the course of the event.

It should be noted that your candies need to be dealt with prudently. The majority of experienced participants suggest that the candies be retained untill it is possible to purchase an Arcana since resources are expensive and desirable. Still, if you find an inexpensive set or a ward worth spending some money on, don’t hesitate to spend a bit of candy. In the end, the choice is within you on what makes the best collection.

Conclusion

Dota 2 Candy Shop in Dota 2 Crownfall is a new feature that gives players an incentive to get more wins, finish events and manage their candy better. Although Arcana does not have a very high chance of being obtained, performing well and similar offers (a maximum of 10 a week) put it within reach of many enthusiastic Dota 2 players.

  • Visit the Candyworks Caravan located in the Crownfall event tab.

  • Acquire candies through Candy Bags, Shop Bundle and event quests.

  • Remember your rerolls and make sure to keep candies for the highest costing items.

To sum up, this new event will surely be one of the most thrilling Dota 2 events this coming spring and summer, with the chance of adding rare and even legendary items to your collection motivates the community's anticipation for Crownfall.
