Cedric “Davai Lama” Dekmin expressed that it was the club's management and not the players who opted to remove him from Heroic after they successfully arranged the transfer of Adrian “Wisper” Sespedes Dobles.

He said this in a Medium interview.

“I was blindsided. I never saw myself getting kicked. Everything seemed perfect within the team, and I was performing well at BLAST Slam. I never expected myself to be benched. After my vacation, when I returned I had the call from the manager saying they reached an agreement with OG for the transfer of Wisper. And that was it. Very surprising. As far as I understood, there was no consultation from the staff for the players in the team. I was surprised, and they were too. That is what they told me after the decision was made. From what I understand, it was an internal decision by the team management and the coach”

According to Davai Lama, he explained that the team members did not have a say in the issue and so was also their surprise with the kick, but he said that he bears no grudges for the decision of the club.

The player mentioned that getting kicked out mid season is frustrating, but he is aiming to get on a new team and showcase himself in the Dota 2 professional scene.
