CS2 players cannot move after the global update: how to solve the problem

The global update of CS2 has led to a widespread bug among players – movement buttons simply don't work. Although you can still rotate the camera, shoot, and jump, moving from the spot is impossible.

As seen in the footage posted on YouTube and other platforms, the phenomenon is widespread. However, a solution to the problem has already been found. It turns out that to make the keys work again, you need to switch the layout to English. After that, the buttons should work as usual.

The issue is more common among Eastern European residents and players from other regions who use the Russian layout. It is possible that there is a similar problem with other layouts. Many users note that they have encountered such an error before when the console did not work without changing the language.

Valve has not commented on the situation yet, but it is quite likely that they will soon release a hotfix to address the problem.

It is worth mentioning that a global update for CS2 was recently released, significantly transforming the game:

• Added new agent animations

• The Arms Race mode has returned, and 2 maps have been added

• Stickers can now be applied everywhere, up to 5 at a time

• Added a "Revert All" feature in the buy menu

• New Kilowatt Case with a new Kukri knife

• Skins have been added for Zeus – can be reused after 30 seconds

• Visuals have been improved, and smoke now casts shadows

• Added a "lightning bolt" for viewing the weekly experience overload

Interestingly, many players, due to this bug, thought that their keyboards were malfunctioning. This issue affected even professional players in CS2.
