Soon a global update for CS2 may be released, transforming the game: dataminers have unearthed details

An analysis of the game build after the latest update provided ThourCS2 with clear indications of incorporating a proper storyline with characters and events.

According to reports, numerous lines and functions related to the comic from the "Arms Race" mode were removed, which was presented in the "Twins" campaign of the Wildfire operation. Within the Counter-Strike 2 code, references to cut-scenes can now be found, which are likely to be essential elements of the narrative campaign.

The dataminer suggests that players are unlikely to see a narrative mode in Counter-Strike 2 similar to other games. Instead, Valve developers are likely to introduce operations with cinematic sequences and a global storyline.

Despite this, such a significant update is expected to transform the game substantially and have a significant impact on the online and possibly even the esports scene. It is possible that the updates will also involve skins, available weaponry, and other aspects of Valve's creation.
