Compendium 2023: Valve Delights Dota 2 Fans with New Feature

Denis "sikle" Lerman, an analyst for Team Spirit Dota 2 roster, has taken note of the introduction of alternative names for heroes in the game following a recent update.

These alternative names are old designations of heroes from the original DotA, the first installment of the game. This change makes it more convenient to search for heroes. According to Lerman, developers implemented this update relatively recently.

As a result, Drow Ranger can now be found by entering the alias "Traxex." Additionally, abbreviations have been added for convenience, for example, Earth Spirit can be located by entering "es."

Sikle pointed out that some of the new names are indeed convenient, as these are the names commonly used by Dota 2 players.
