Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov stated that he had serious trouble sleeping during
Team Spirit’s run at The International 2026, which significantly affected his well-being as an esports player.
The player made this statement on YouTube.
“Over the last couple of days at TI15, my sleep schedule got worse. I couldn’t go to bed until 3:00 a.m. If a game is at 10 a.m., you have to wake up at 7, which means you get 4 hours of sleep—5 at best. But not 6. We beat Liquid, went back to the hotel, slept a bit, and then had a game against BETBOOM Team. The next day, we couldn’t do that again—there wasn’t enough time. Even considering that we were playing at the arena. The organizers messed up the schedule.
One day I even took melatonin to get a good night’s sleep. But those pills don’t work well for me. I wasn’t myself all day. I couldn’t do the things I usually do. The next evening, I was asked if I wanted to take melatonin again. I replied, “No, keep them far away from me. I’ll sleep like a normal person. I haven’t taken those pills in 20 years and I don’t want to start now.” But those days were tough.”
According to a statement by Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov, the esports player was sleeping only 4–5 hours a day, which was far from enough for him to feel normal. The player acknowledged that this situation affected his gameplay and also expressed dissatisfaction with the schedule set by the organizers. Collapse also added that one night he even took melatonin pills to help him sleep, but they made him feel even worse.
As a reminder, Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov had previously stated that he plans to take a break.
