Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, former captain of Team Spirit, stated that he is not going to return to the team, has fully switched to streaming, and also asked fans to give the players a chance to prove themselves.

The esportsman said this during a Twitch stream.

“Enough, please. First you spend half a year writing: ‘Borya, come back to Spirit’. Then it’s ‘Lyonya, come back to Spirit’. When Borya was playing, people wrote that he was bad. Then they wrote the same about me. Guys, that’s it, relax, I’m a streamer. Period. That’s all”

He noted that he does not plan to return and urged fans to give the updated roster time to show itself. He also joked that although the team is losing now, things were even worse under his leadership.

“What professional players? Let the guys play CS. They are pros and they will be. I’m sitting here watching how these pros play and telling them how terrible they are. Back in my time Spirit played differently. Eh, I remember how I was calling… Of course, with me we didn’t lose this hard. With me we lost even harder”

He also reminded that when Magixx left, fans asked him to return as well, just like they are asking Chopper now, but he doesn’t see any point in it. The former captain sees himself more as a streamer rather than a CS2 pro player.

Earlier, Miposhka, the former Dota 2 roster captain, announced when he might return to the Dota 2 pro scene.
