changes in the b8 roster and the nuances of the new player replacement system
Organization B8 Esports announced on Twitter about the roster change. Support Enis «5up» Elfki will leave the team.

Team B8 will play in ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Lower Division, matches will start on January 18. It's not yet known who will replace 5up.

В8 roster:
  • Leonardo «RdO-» Fernandes
  • Danil «Dendi» Ishutin
  • Diego «Sexyfat» Barini Santamaria
  • Heitor «Duster» Pereira
However, after this news, there were some new nuances of the player replacement system in the team during the DPC league. Perhaps B8 will be compelled to play with the same roster as they took part in the Decider Tournament. This situation was discussed on Twitter between Maincast commentator Alexey «BafiK» Bafadarov and team Alliance manager Marie Gunina.

BafiK:

B8 decided to take the opportunity to replace one player, apparently. Who will take the place? There are some free guys who have not passed the open qualifier.

Maria Gunina:

I'm afraid they will have to back up. Info received that the replacement can only be used for 4 matches during the season.

They will have to play with the same roster as they played on Desider. You can legally use 1 replacement for 4 games during the league

Yes, this is just a fresh update. Awkward situation)

Information about the changes in the rules was confirmed by the manager of the HellRaisers team. However, the manager of Team Spirit Dmitry «Korb3n» Belov didn’t agree with the conclusions that B8 will have to play with the old roster.

Georgy «drAmer» Faleev, CEO of Team Unique criticized on Telegram Valve DPC system and highlighted the problem with the current situation:

Cherry on the cake is an update according to the rules of substitutions, that a team can play 4 matches with a stand-in, and substitutions cannot be made at all. Dota team without replacements - seriously?! I know for sure that at least 3 teams played in the Desider Tournament with stand-ins or tested players. But "see point number one" - Nobody announced the rules anywhere in advance and nobody knew anything.

Also, analyst Ben «Noxville» Stinuizen spoke about the strange rules of the DPC season:

What's strange with the way rosters work now is that any player who was used for qualifiers for Season 1, but then kicked is very likely not able to go to TI - unless they:
1. join another Div 1 team with points
2. join a Div 2 team which is promoted after S1
3. win TI quals

to even be eligible for TI quals a team needs to play in Season 2 in some form, so anyone who got kicked or skipped Season 1 is in a tough position

Team MagMa is also affected by the DPC season rule updates. The organization was compelled to remove Chen «zc» Xiaofeng from the team. And they are currently awaiting the decision of Valve and Perfect World.
