Blitz commented on Team Liquid's defeat

William ‘Blitz’ Lee regrets that the team lost map number two in the first meeting against G2.iG at ESL One Birmingham 2024 Tournament and says that they put everything they had to win it but he also added that this is the first tournament where they won their opening map.

The team's thoughts were shared by Team Liquid's coach during a post-match interview on Twitch after ESL One Birmingham 2024.

“Obviously it’s disappointing because we struggled on the second map. This is however, the first tournament where we’ve won the first map. But historically, as it goes further into tournaments, Team Liquid always ramps up its game. We’re trying something different. Everybody is getting up early. It’s like 8:00 by the time everyone’s playing publix. We’re getting into sweat mode. And it’s already paying off a bit.”

The coach confessed that before tournaments his team spent most of its time travelling hence little time for preparation leading to poor starts in championships; for example ESL One Birmingham 2024 necessitated more training from Team Liquid as such their hope for stable results this season has gone up.
