BetBoom Team have been fined at ESL One Birmingham

BetBoom Team have been handed a level two penalty at the ESL One Birmingham Dota 2 tournament for abusing Dota 2 rules. The sanction will be in effect for the match against G2.iG. The organizers deprived the team of extra time at the draft stage.

The corresponding statement was published on the official Twitter account of the organizers of the tournament ESL One Birmingham 2024.

"Due to abuse of a bug BetBoom Team will be receiving a Level 2 Draft Penalty for their next game against G2.iG."

However, the championship organizers did not disclose which specific bug the team used to gain an advantage over their opponent. The team's first match at the tournament against Team Falcons ended in a draw. On the first map Team Falcons held a confident advantage, but in the second game BetBoom Team was able to successfully win back.
