Berlin Major group stage results

The group stage of the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 tournament is over. Here are the results:

Gaimin Gladiators were the clear leaders of the group and the first to advance to the playoffs. 9 Pandas pleasantly surprised with their performance, especially considering the absence of their captain, Alexey «Solo» Berezin.

Team Liquid and PSG.LGD, despite a rough start, managed to secure places in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

BetBoom Team, Evil Geniuses, and Team Aster played each other to determine who would take the 5th-6th place and move to the lower bracket of the playoffs. Unfortunately, BetBoom Team, along with Roman «Resolut1on» Fomynok, are eliminated from the tournament. Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses and Team Aster will continue to battle in the playoffs.

TSM and Execration did not make it into the top 6 teams of Group A. Perhaps they need more time to adapt to the new patch.

The top four teams of Group B were determined almost immediately. Tundra Esports, OG, Team Spirit, and Shopify Rebellion will continue to compete in the playoffs.

OG made two substitutions for this tournament due to visa issues, but they have pleasantly surprised their fans with their performance. Ivan «MinD_ContRoL» Ivanov and Kartik «Kitrak» Rathi have been doing well in their roles. MinD_ContRoL looks particularly confident in a LAN tournament, and his antics in the team have become popular memes.

Invictus Gaming did not enjoy the tournament as their results show. They, along with Team SMG and beastcoast, are eliminated from the tournament.

Talon Esports and Xtreme Gaming took 5th-6th place and will continue to fight in the lower bracket of the playoffs.

The ESL One Berlin Major 2023 runs from April 26 to May 7. The final stage of the playoffs will be held in a LAN format at the Velodrom arena in Berlin from May 5 to 7. The tournament's prize pool is $500,000 and 2700 DPC points.
