Fans of Dota 2 mocked Zhang "LaNm" Zhicheng after an incident during the Gaimin Gladiators - Azure Ray match in the finals of The International 2023. While giving an interview, he criticized GG's draft and how their heroes died multiple times even before the creeps spawned.

This was said by the coach at the moment when his team was being crushed. Ironically, Azure Ray's players were being annihilated almost under their own towers, humiliating the Chinese team. The match ultimately ended with a phenomenal victory for Gaimin Gladiators.
