Ammar “ATF” Assaf,
Team Falcons offlaner, admitted that he had to sacrifice his education, health, and social life for his career as a pro gamer.
The esports player talked about this in an interview with Blast.tv.
“I sacrificed school, college, university — call it what you want. I have no social life, and I even sacrificed my health. Playing Dota so much is no longer fun. In 2019, I only had 3k MMR, and I had to grind incredibly hard to reach that level”
He noted that he has been playing Dota 2 for a long time, and spending so much time in the game is no longer enjoyable for him. According to ATF, he had to grind a huge amount of time since 2019 to reach his current pro player level, and it cost him dearly and would not have been possible without the support of his family.
“My family helped a lot. My brothers traveled with me because I was under 18 and couldn't travel alone from Jordan. My mom helped with visas and many personal matters. They did a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes — even more than I perhaps realize”
As a reminder, ATF was disappointed by Skiter's return to
Team Falcons after playing with Satanic.
