ATF evaluated the format of Riyadh Masters 2025, comparing it to last year's tournament

Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf called the format of Riyadh Masters 2025 strange, but still gave a positive assessment of the tournament's organization.

The player made this statement on Twitch.

"It's a rather strange format, but in a good way. However, I liked the format at Riyadh Masters 2024. Our first day there ended with a score of 0:4. It was fun. Now it's not possible."

Comparing Riyadh Masters 2025 with last year's Esports World Cup tournament, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf noted the much higher price of defeat from the very beginning of the event.

At the Riyadh Masters 2025, teams play each match on a knockout basis, starting with the decider stage. The tournament's playoffs do not involve falling into the lower bracket, and participants leave the tournament immediately after their first defeat.
