Arteezy speaks out on the plummeting MMR in Dota 2, naming the main problem with matchmaking

Artur “Arteezy” Babayev stated that matchmaking in Dota 2 is now in a terrible state. The cybersportsman believes that if Valve started selling accounts with high ratings, it would not affect the quality of matches.

The corresponding statement was made by the player on his personal page in X.

“Acutally insane the state of dota mm. no joke valve may as well advertise their own high ranked mm accs for sale, it wouldnt change anything.”

According to Arthur “Arteezy” Babaev, of the 20 matches played this year, he has faced unscrupulous players in 12 of them. In such a state of matchmaking, the player sees the main reason for the fall of his rank in the regional Dota 2 ladder.

“Out of 20 games that ive played 12 of them are accbuyers/wintrades/griefed afks 2025 i guess! Descending into the ranks of 300s has shown me that it's a true hellhole of miserable souls.”
