Apex Spoke Out After Vitality’s Loss

Dan “apEX” Madeskler blames himself for Vitality’s loss in their 2026 Esports World Cup playoff qualifier against B8.

The player made the statement on the team’s X page.

“I don’t really have much to say. We lost because of me: not a single good call and a lot of individual mistakes. You can hate on me. I wasn’t feeling well today, but that’s no excuse. We’re not out yet.”

According to Dan “apEX” Madeskler’s statement, the esports player acknowledges not only a lack of personal initiative but also numerous mistakes in his individual gameplay. The player added that he wasn’t feeling well during the match, but considers that a poor excuse.

It’s worth noting that a mass food poisoning incident occurred at the 2026 Esports World Cup. Twenty people were reported to have fallen ill at the PUBG Mobile EWC. The suspected cause of the poisoning may have been chicken that the tournament participants ate the day before.

As a reminder, Justinas “jL” Lekavičius previously spoke about his return to the pro scene as a substitute player for Vitality.
