Apex acknowledged that Vitality is no longer the favorite on the CS2 pro scene, naming the best team

Dan “apEX” Madeskler acknowledged that Team Spirit has taken the title of CS2 pro scene favorite away from Vitality.

“It’s hard to argue with that. You know, the human brain doesn’t work right. The process is more important than the result. We’re focused on that process all the time. So for me, it’s not a problem that we didn’t win the Major. That’s the result of our preparation, which wasn’t the best. We didn’t give it our all. We were given time to rest so we’d definitely have enough energy to prepare for the Major, but we didn’t handle it very well at that point.

Yes, sometimes we arrive at a tournament less prepared so that we’ll be more rested for the next one. That doesn’t mean we’ll win it. But it does mean we’ll arrive full of energy, in good spirits, and well-prepared. That’s as far as Atlanta goes.

As for Spirit—they’re playing great CS right now. Probably the best they’ve ever played.”

According to Dan “apEX” Madeskler, the esports player isn’t too upset about Vitality’s losses, as he believes the team didn’t put in enough effort to achieve a different result. Moreover, sometimes a team may arrive at a tournament not in peak condition, but will train more intensively for the next event. The esports player acknowledged that, despite his team’s struggles, Team Spirit’s CS2 roster is currently performing at its best level since the team’s inception.
