Wang “Ame” Chunyu is dissatisfied with
Xtreme Gaming’s preparation for the 2026 Esports World Cup, despite the team’s strong results during their pre-tournament training.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“We arived here about two weeks before the tournament started, so we had time to hold a full-fledged boot camp and play a lot of practice matches against European teams. To be honest, the results were very good; I was satisfied with how we looked on the server.
But when the tournament actually began, for some reason everything went completely wrong. Right now, we’re playing at a level far below what we showed during practice. That’s what frustrates us the most.”
Acording to Wan “Ame” Chunyou, the team held a full-scale boot camp before the tournament and played numerous practice matches against teams from the European region. Although the
Xtreme Gaming roster was satisfied with their performance during preparation, the team was unable to demonstrate that same high level of skill at the tournament, which disapointed Ame and his teammates.
As a reminder, Alexander “Nix” Levin had previously called on
Xtreme Gaming to remove Wang “Ame” Chun-yu from the Dota 2 roster following the incident involving the early “GG.”
