Resolut1on League

The pool of funds available for the Dota2 league which was spearheaded by Roman Fominok alias Resolut1on has a much higher sum than was initially intended which is around an estimated $80,000, freeing up certain reserves to distribute among the best players in the arena over the span of a year.

In an interview with Dota2.ru, Boris Tautiev, who serves as a co owner of EDL, went on to share what his plans were in detail.

“In the beginning we aimed for 8 seasons of thirty days each during which we hoped to showcase our unique branding in order to let everyone know that EDL exists and plans on remaining a thing as long as Dota does too’’

In other words, the plan is to hold within the duration of one year, 8 EDL seasons with each offering $10,000 in prize money. On the other hand, the player who wins isn’t awarded the final sum in hand. Players who come in first are instead awarded $4000 with additional cash going out to the winners of their second division. The remaining sum is then divided among those who placed lower than them.

This means that anyone who plays diura and exercises tactical knowledge can earn around $40,000 in a year.
