Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard stated that the current
Gaimin Gladiators roster is having trouble adapting to the current patch, forcing the team to catch up with some other teams by borrowing their gameplay.
The corresponding statement was made by the offlaner of
Gaimin Gladiators in an exclusive interview with the Medium publisher.
"I think we are now at the same level as we were, in a sense. Our problem has always been that everything is going well for us, and then a patch comes out. I mean, there are always updates that change the situation. So, I think everyone has to adapt to these changes and everything like that. But, there just weren't those who were close to us before. Now we really have to look at some teams and borrow what they do. So, in this sense, maybe we have to catch up a bit, for example, with
Team Falcons."
Gaimin Gladiators finished fifth in the recent DreamLeague Season 22 tournament for Dota 2. The team lacked one victory in the second stage of the tournament to advance to the playoffs. The fate of the team was decided in the last match of the second stage, where
Gaimin Gladiators lost to
Xtreme Gaming.
It is worth reminding that earlier, the team's captain, Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp, commented on the announcement of The International in Denmark, stating that the upcoming tournament should serve as additional motivation for the team.
