Neta "33" Shapira, captain of
Tundra Esports admitted that he frequently changes teams in the Dota 2 pro scene to avoid stagnation and to play with the strongest players.
The world champion shared this during an interview at DreamLeague Season 24.
"I've always wanted to compete with players I consider strong. I'd feel like I missed an opportunity if I didn’t give it a try. Changing the environment is a bonus – it helps me avoid stagnation. Over my year with Team Liquid, I learned a lot I might never have learned if I had stayed with Tundra Esports. Playing with new people is great—lots of new ideas and perspectives."
33 explained that his drive to play alongside top players keeps him from staying in teams for too long. Not even his victory with Team Liquid at The International 2024 held him back. The esports athlete emphasized that the experience was invaluable, but he wants to continue learning and moving forward.
He also noted that this approach helps him avoid stagnation, which positively impacts his performance in matches and aids in finding new strategies.
